Luke H. Legere has more than two decades of experience practicing environmental, land use, and real estate law in Massachusetts. Prior to opening Luke H. Legere Law, LLC, he was a Partner with the Boston law firm of McGregor Legere & Stevens PC, where he spent the first twenty years of his career.
In 2025, Luke was selected to the list of Massachusetts Super Lawyers for Environmental Litigation. He is co-chair of the Real Estate Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section, and has served as co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Wetlands, Waterways, and Water Quality Committee. He authors the Water Pollution Control chapter in the Massachusetts Environmental Law treatise published by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.
Luke leads courses and workshops for organizations including the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions, Real Estate Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the Citizen Planner Training Collaborative. He taught Legal Research and Writing at New England Law | Boston for ten years.
In his community, Luke is a long-time member of his town’s conservation commission. He served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Queechy Lake Club, a non-profit corporation dedicated to the preservation and protection of Queechy Lake in New York State. He also served on the Board of Directors for his town’s youth soccer program.
Luke is a graduate of Colgate University and New England Law | Boston, cum laude.
